Privacy Policy

Who we are. JLA Tactics Board (jlatacticsboard.com) is operated by JLA Insights Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("JLA", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site and the app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. What we collect. When you create an account we collect your email address and any profile details you choose to add, such as a display name, handle, and avatar image. When you use the app we store the content you create and save — tactics, folders, animations, notes, custom teams and players, and uploaded images or media. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled entirely by Stripe; your card details are sent directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status from Stripe. We also collect standard usage and device data (pages visited, features used, approximate location from IP, browser and device type) through analytics, described below.

Why we collect it, and our legal bases. We use your account email and saved content to provide the service — this is necessary to perform our contract with you. We use analytics and usage data to understand how the product is used and to improve it — this is our legitimate interest in running and developing the service. We send marketing emails only with your consent, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link; you can also opt out at any time by contacting us. Where the law requires it (for example, billing records), we process data to meet our legal obligations.

Third-party services. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service: Firebase (Google) provides authentication, our database (Firestore), and file storage for content such as avatars, team logos, and uploaded media. Stripe processes subscription payments. Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised usage statistics on both the marketing site and the app. Google reCAPTCHA v3 protects sign-up from automated abuse; its use is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms. Some marketing pages embed videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie) player, which limits YouTube's tracking until you press play. Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy, and we share only what is needed for them to provide their service.

Cookies and local storage. We use browser localStorage to remember your preferences on your device — for example your theme, language (the app supports 11 languages), and editor settings. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site usage. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

How long we keep your data. We keep your account data and saved content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or ask us to, we delete your personal data and content within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep records for legal or accounting purposes (for example, billing history).

Your rights. Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to receive a copy in a portable format, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to have your data deleted. To exercise any of these rights, email developer@jlatacticsboard.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.

Children. JLA Tactics Board is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers. Our providers (including Google and Stripe) may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will let you know through the site, the app, or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
