How to play World Cup-dle
- Read the clues: you're given the World Cup stage, the opponent and the formation of a hidden starting XI.
- Guess the national team and the year that started that World Cup match. You have 5 guesses.
- After each guess, a position lights up whenever a player from your guess shared a club with the hidden player in that spot, revealing the club badge.
- Green means they played together — same club at the same time. Yellow means the same club, but in different years.
- Use the revealed club badges to narrow it down and name the exact team and year before your guesses run out.

How do you play World Cup-dle?
You're given the match stage, opponent, and formation. Guess a national team and year. After each guess, positions light up green (same club, same time) or yellow (same club, different years) based on club career overlaps with the hidden squad.
What do the green and yellow colours mean?
Green means the two players played together — a player from your guess and the hidden player were at the same club at the same time. Yellow means they played for the same club, but in different years.
