A soccer whiteboard built for how coaches actually work

Most tactics board apps hand you a blank green rectangle and a set of magnets. This one starts where your planning starts: with a regulation field, two full rosters and your formation already on it. Pick a team from a database covering more than 1,000 leagues — MLS, USL, Liga MX, the Premier League and the rest — and the players load with names and numbers. Coach a youth, high school or college program? Create your own custom players and teams so the board shows your roster, not somebody else's.

Draw plays with soccer-specific tools

Passing and running arrows, dribble paths, dashed and curved lines, shaded zones, a spotlight to isolate one player and a tape measure for the distance between your lines. Everything is a single tap on a touchscreen, so you can sketch a pressing trigger on the sideline as fast as you could on a clipboard — and unlike the clipboard, it saves.

Animate the movement, then export the video

Arrows describe movement; animation shows it. Drag each player to the next position, curve the runs, stage the passes and press play. The board plays the rotation through instead of freezing it in a diagram. Export the sequence as an MP4 for your team's group chat or your program's social accounts, or grab a PNG still for the locker-room wall. Saved boards let you keep a whole game plan as a sequence — build-up shape, press, transition — and step through it during a team talk.

Break down game film

Media Draw lets you upload a clip or a screenshot from your game film and draw over it with the same tools: highlight the center-back who stepped, shade the channel the winger exploited, freeze the frame where the shape broke. It's the fastest way to turn Saturday's footage into Monday's teaching point.

Share it, collaborate on it, publish it

Open a live collaboration room and your assistants see every move you make in real time from their own devices. Publish a finished play to the community library so other coaches can clone and adapt it, or embed it on your club's website with one line of code. The free plan covers all of this with a small watermark on exports; the paid plans remove it and add real recent lineups, full design customization and 4K export.

Frequently asked questions

Is the soccer tactics board free?

Yes. The free plan includes the drawing tools, the animation creator, shot maps, the team database with real rosters, three saved boards, community publishing and live collaboration rooms. Free video exports are 1080p at 30 fps with a small watermark; the paid plans remove it and start at £1.99 a month (about $2.50).

Does it work on an iPad or a phone?

Yes. It runs in the browser on desktop, iPad and phone with no download, and your boards sync between devices. Coaches typically build a session on a laptop and open the same board on a tablet at the field.

Are MLS, NWSL and college teams included?

The team database covers fixtures from more than 1,000 leagues worldwide, including MLS and the USL, and MLS is one of the seven competitions with heat maps and average positions. Youth, high school and college programs create their own custom players and teams so the board shows your actual roster.

Can I animate a play and export it as a video?

Yes. The animation creator lets you drag players to their next positions, curve runs, stage passes and press play. Export the sequence as an MP4 for your team's group chat or social media, or a PNG still for a printout.

Can I draw over game film?

Yes. Media Draw lets you upload a clip or screenshot, pause on the frame that matters and draw arrows, zones and highlights directly over the footage. Video upload is on the Basic plan and above; screenshots work on every plan.

How is this different from a whiteboard app?

A generic whiteboard gives you a blank rectangle. This board starts with a regulation soccer field, two full rosters with names and numbers, soccer-specific drawing tools, saved boards you step through like slides, animation, video export and a public library of plays other coaches have shared.

More ways people use the board

The same board is used by club coaches, match analysts and content creators — and every play in the community library can be cloned into your own account.
